Ted Hay Memorial Scholarship

Ted Hay Memorial

Annual Scholarship Program

Ted Hay

(July 17, 1957 – April 19, 2003)

Coach of the ’88 Royals

The Royals Futbol Club, Inc. has created the Ted Hay Memorial Scholarship as a tribute to Ted Hay and his tremendous involvement with youth soccer in the Clarksville community.

Ted’s dedication to developing soccer players began with him coaching his son’s Under 8 recreational soccer team and progressed throughout the years with coaching the ’88 Royals.  His enthusiasm and love for the game of soccer positively influenced many players throughout their soccer careers.  Ted’s tireless efforts culminated with his ’88 Royals winning the titles of Division III State Champions in 2001 and the Division II State Champions in 2002.  Ted passed away suddenly in 2003 before he could coach his team in the Division I State tournament.

This scholarship will serve as lasting memorial to Ted Hay and his beliefs and love for his players and the game of soccer.
